The St. Regis Istanbul Offer the best Afternoon Tea
As a British expat living in Istanbul, i’m sure it comes as no surprise that one of my favourite past times, is to go for afternoon tea.
Since moving here nearly 2 years ago, i have been searching for afternoon teas all over the city. So i was over the moon to find out that my favourite hotel in Istanbul, The St. Regis, offers afternoon tea at their restaurant, the St. Regis Brasserie.
Afternoon tea in Istanbul, tends to be a buffet. Which is a strange concept for a Brit, because it is traditional served on a silver three-tiered stand. However there is a benefit to a buffet style Afternoon Tea, because it’s unlimited, which means you can pile you plate high with sandwiches and cakes, as many times as you like. And who doesn’t love getting their money’s worth.
The St. Regis Brasseries, Nisantasi Tea Time Ritual takes place everyday between 3pm – 6pm. It includes a range of Turkish and British delicacies, from simit finger sandwiches to scones with clotted cream and jam.
The St.Regis Brasserie also have a large tea menu, with a wide choice of refined Teas selected by their Tea Sommelier. My favourite it the white tea with melon, it’s delicious.
Like i said, The St. Regis is a marvellous hotel. They have a valet. The staff are so friendly and all speak fluent English.
So if you’re in the area and fancy a really tasty and good value for money afternoon tea, then make sure you head to the St. Regis. In my opinion, it’s the best in Istanbul.
