If you’re like so many others at this time of year, you’ll be clueless as to what to buy your loved one this Valentine’s Day or even where to buy something that they’ll love. And if you are, then read on because i’ve got some helpful suggestions on the best places to buy your Valentine something they’ll love almost as much as they love you.
You also don’t have to worry about spending too much money, as Valentine’s day actually takes place during the sale season, so you’re likely to get her/him a lovely present at a bargain price.
Below, i’ve listed my favourite shops around Istanbul, to give you the inspiration you need.
Souq Dukkan is a wonderful shop located in Kanyon AVM, Levent. It brings together a number of independent Turkish designers under the same roof. With a range of unique designs spanning from clothing to bags, home accessories to ceramics and art objects. And there’s even a botanical corner in the shop.
Souq Dukkan have a range of truly unique and wonderful items, so much so that every time i walk in, i find about a dozen things i want to buy. I highly recommend you go and check them out. I have linked their instagram page here, so you can have a look at what they sell and maybe get inspired.
Tru. Project is hugely popular for its clean-cut perfect basics that are made in Istanbul. They sell everything from basic t-shirts to jumpers. As a girl, i know how difficult it can be to find a simple and basic t-shirts and jumpers that are good quality, i guess that’s why i love this place.
Tru.Project have a store in Bebek, so make sure you head there to browse the clothing rails to find your loved one the perfect basic. Plus, you can grab a coffee from their instore tru. blend coffee counter, and sit in the seating area reading a book from their bookstore.
COS is a Swedish brand that offers timeless designs and clean silhouettes. Selling everything from good quality jeans – one of my favourite stores for good quality high wasted jeans – to dresses and even jewellery. If this sounds like something you’d like to buy for Valentine’s Day then check out one of their stores at, Bağdat Caddesi, Zorlu Center and İstinye Park.
Longchamp is literally my favourite bag company of all time, i consider myself an unpaid brand ambassador, because i recommend everyone buy from them. They offer amazing quality and beautifully designed handbags, to suit everyones taste. From their La Pliage range – which is waterproof – to their Penelope range, just to name a few, there is something to suit everyone. And more importantly, there is something to suit every price range.
Make sure you check out their stores in Istinye Park, Harvey Nichols in Kanyon AVM and Brandroom stores in Istanbul. The sale season also means you can purchase what would otherwise be an expensive handbag for a bargain price.
Cassette is hand down one of my favourite jewellery stores in Istanbul. They sell a range of jewellery items such as; earrings, necklaces, bracelets and even shoes. The reason why i love Cassette is because their jewellery is modern, good quality and really well priced. For example you can buy a pair of earring for 3oTL or a really lovely necklace for 40TL.

Room + Rumours
Room + Rumours is a showroom located in Nişantaşı that features fashion collections, accessories and even homeware by well-known and up-and-coming independent designers.
Brandroom is a shop where designer clothes, bags, shoes and accessories meet. They offer loads of designer items from Longchamp, Kendall&Kylie, Lanvin, Tom Ford and even Gucci, just to name a few. And remember is sale season, so you may be able to pick up a designer gift for your Valentine at a great price.
They have many stores in Istanbul, such as in Nisantasi and Optimum Outlet in Kadikoy. Check out this link to see if there’s a store near you.
Chocolates are a traditional gift for Valentine’s Day and for good reason. What woman can say no to Chocolate!
If you want to buy some chocolates then make sure you check out Marbella Chocolates, they sell a range of delicious and beautifully decorated chocolates.
Souq Dukkan also sell items for men, such as wallets, notepad covers to clothes all from a number of independent Turkish designers.

Beymen carry’s more than 700 designer brands in its stores, as well as its own brand such as Beymen Collection. So if your man likes designer things, than consider checking Beymen out.
Dior, Saint Laurent, Valentino, Celine, Stella McCartney, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, Balenciaga, Dsquared2, Bottega Veneta and Chloé are exclusive sold by Beymen in Turkey.
Beymen have 8 stores scattered throughout Istanbul, including stores in Istinye Park AVM and Akasya.
