My White Chocolate Matcha Valentines Biscuits recipe is super easy, quick and perfect for Valentines.
These rich, buttery biscuits are so tasty . Dipping them in white chocolate matcha makes them absolutely irresistible and moreish. And you could almost fool your self into thinking they’re healthy because they have matcha in them, i guess that’s why i ate 4 of them in one sitting.
PREP TIME: 10 mins
COOK TIME: 12 – 14 mins
MAKES: 12 biscuits
100g butter, softened
50g caster sugar
170g plain flour
Matcha White Chocolate Dip
160g white chocolate
1.5 Tsp matcha powder
Preheat your oven to 180C (fan)
Beat the butter and sugar until pale and creamy.
Then add the flour and combine to make a stiff dough (You may find it easier to do this with your hands).
Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and roll out to the thickness of a £1 coin. Then use a heart shape cutter and cut out 12 hearts, placing these onto a baking sheet.
Re-roll and keep cutting out heart, until you have used up all the dough then place the baking sheet into the oven, to bake for around 12 – 14 minutes or until the biscuits are a light golden colour.
Leave to cool on the baking sheet slightly before transferring them onto a wire rack to cool completely
To make the White Chocolate Matcha to dip the heart shaped biscuits into, simple melt the white chocolate in the microwave for around 1 minute and stirring until completely smooth.
Add matcha powder – sift it first, to avoid air bubble and lumps – and stir until smooth.
Keep in an airtight container placed in the fridge for between 4 to 5 days.
